This is Veadotube Mini’s killer feature. You don't need a webcam. You hold down a hotkey (or toggle it on/off) and move your mouse. As you move the mouse left or right, your avatar’s head turns. As you move the mouse up and down, the avatar looks up or down.

Draw the "back of the head" hair and "front of the head" hair as separate layers. When you turn the head using the mouse, toggle the visibility of the back layer. This creates a believable turn-around effect.
