Kikuchi’s original orchestral score is dark, percussive, and melancholic. The piece “Janemba ni Natte Shimatta...” (Turned into Janemba) is a haunting choir that paints Janemba as a tragic, cosmic accident. The archive contains isolated audio tracks of this score, ripped from rare “Music Collection” CDs released only in Japan in 1995.
The inciting incident occurs in the Psychovan (Soul Cleansing) Station of the Other World. A careless teenage ogre named Psyche Oni neglects his duties monitoring the Soul Cleansing Machine. The machine, overloaded with millennia of concentrated mortal evil, violently explodes. This dark energy consumes the young ogre, transforming him into Janemba—a giant, childlike behemoth with reality-warping capabilities. dragon ball z fusion reborn archive
