The plot kicks into high gear when a terrorist group threatens to detonate a nuclear device in Los Angeles. FBI Agent Callie Ferris (Julianne Moore) hunts down Johnson, believing his foresight is the only way to prevent the impending catastrophe. While attempting to avoid the FBI, Johnson becomes captivated by a woman named Liz (Jessica Biel), whom he has foreseen meeting in a diner at a specific time.

Simultaneously, Cris comes to the attention of FBI Special Agent Callie Ferris (Julianne Moore). A terrorist group has smuggled a nuclear weapon into the United States and plans to detonate it in Los Angeles. Ferris believes Cris’s ability to see future outcomes is the only way to locate the bomb before it is too late. The film then becomes a frantic chase as Cris tries to evade the FBI, the terrorists, and his own fate, all while attempting to connect with the woman from his visions.
