Look closely at the defrost vents near the windscreen. Some models have hidden screws located deep inside the vent ducts.

Straighten the front wheels. Use a 24mm socket to remove the central retaining nut. Mark the relationship between the steering wheel hub and the splined column shaft with a marker so you can reinstall it straight. Pull the wheel toward you to remove it. vw polo 6n dashboard removal updated

Pop out the blank switch covers, hazard light switch, and rear demister switch. Unplug each one. Look closely at the defrost vents near the windscreen
