As the Kaiju launch a massive dual assault on Hong Kong, Gipsy Danger, piloted by Raleigh and Mako, is redeployed. After a stunning battle through the city’s neon-lit streets, they defeat both Kaiju, but the Shatterdome is heavily damaged. In the Breach assault, a Category 5 Kaiju emerges. The Australian Jaeger "Striker Eureka" sacrifices itself to destroy it. Gipsy Danger, with only minutes of power left, enters the Breach. Mako and Raleigh launch the Jaeger’s nuclear reactor, detonating it within the portal. The explosion collapses the Breach, presumably sealing the alien dimension forever.
