Roja was born on March 7, 1971, in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. She began her acting career in 1991 with the Tamil film "Chinna Thambi." Her breakthrough role came in 1992 with the film "Raaghavan," which earned her recognition and acclaim.
