Open Servo Guide and go to the main menu. Click on the tab. Configure the connection method (Ethernet is standard) and click the "Test" button. If the setup is correct, the "Result" box will indicate a successful connection.
After installation, launch Servo Guide. You’ll see a connection setup dialog. Common connection methods: fanuc servo guide download
FANUC Servo Guide is a powerful software package designed to optimize the performance of FANUC servo motors, spindle motors, and direct-drive systems. Engineers and maintenance professionals use this tool to tune control loops, diagnose hardware issues, and measure frequency responses. Open Servo Guide and go to the main menu
| Issue | Possible Causes | Solutions | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | | Incorrect IP addresses; Bad cable; Wrong cable type; Firewall blocking communication. | Double-check both IP addresses ( 192.168.1.1 vs 192.168.1.2 ). Test with a known-good Ethernet cable. Use a crossover cable if both devices are old. Temporarily disable Windows Firewall. | | Parameters Seem Wrong/Incorrect Numbers | Wrong CNC model selected in software. | Go to the Parameter window and verify the CNC model selection matches the actual CNC controller. | | "HRV3 Not Activated" | HRV3 (High Response Vector) not enabled or properly initialized. | Check diagnostic number DGN700 bit #1 is 1 . Check parameter SV02013 bit #0 is 1 . Reinitialize servo parameters if needed. | | Alarm 414 (Digital Servo Error) | Mechanical binding; Servo drive fault; Electrical noise; Incorrect gains. | This indicates a serious issue. Check for mechanical obstructions, test the servo drive, ensure a clean electrical environment, and revert to baseline parameters. | | Alarm SV006 (SV Motor Overheat) | Servo motor overload or insufficient cooling. | Check for mechanical binding that is overloading the motor. Verify the motor's cooling fan is working. Check the load meter on the CNC. | If the setup is correct, the "Result" box
