Tool L380 - Epson Resetter

This is a grey area. Epson does not provide this tool to end-users; it is technically a "service program" for authorized technicians. However, millions of users worldwide use it to extend the life of their printers.

If your L380 is still under warranty, do not use the resetter. Contact Epson. But for most users with an out-of-warranty printer, the resetter tool is the only practical option. epson resetter tool l380

Inside the maintenance menu, you will look for the waste ink pad counter option. When you open this, you will see checkboxes for the main pad counter. You should first click the check button to confirm that the counter has indeed reached its limit. If the status shows that the counter is full, you then select the initialize button. A small pop-up will ask for confirmation, and once the process is complete, the software will prompt you to turn off your printer. This is a crucial step. Switch the printer off using its physical power button, wait about ten seconds, and then turn it back on. If successful, the red blinking lights should be gone, and your printer status should return to ready on your computer screen. This is a grey area
