Toad for Oracle must match the architecture of your Oracle client (both 32-bit or both 64-bit). If you’re using an Oracle Instant Client, it must be installed first. For the latest version (such as 2025 R3), Quest has unified all editions into a single installer that supports all license types out of the box, eliminating the need for separate installers for perpetual vs. subscription licenses. You can download the installer from the official Quest support site .
Keep the activation email from Quest in a secure, central location, as the Site Message is required for every new version upgrade.
