Velukkudi Krishnan Sundara Kandam Part 1 ~upd~ -

Sri Velukkudi Swamy’s discourses are highly revered because they do not just narrate the story; they unpack the Sampradaya (tradition-specific) secrets. In the context of Sri Vaishnavism, Sundara Kandam Part 1 serves as an allegory for the process of Saranagati (surrender).

Sri Velukkudi Krishnan (born 1963) is a highly respected Hindu Sri Vaishnava religious scholar. Born in the village of Velukkudi in present-day Thiruvarur district, he was steeped in tradition from a young age. His father, Velukkudi Varadachariar, was a noted Vedic scholar, and it was after his father’s passing in 1991 that the then 28-year-old chartered accountant left his lucrative career to dedicate his life to delivering spiritual discourses ( upanyasam ). His style is renowned for being meticulous, chaste, and deeply rooted in the Vedas, Upanishads, and the Naalayira Divya Prabandham , yet he presents complex ideas in a simple, lucid, and absorbing manner. velukkudi krishnan sundara kandam part 1
