The most body positive wellness lifestyle I have found is surprisingly boring. It is eating when I am hungry, moving in ways that feel like play, taking my prescribed medication without shame, and refusing to view my body as a project to be fixed. The wellness industry wants you to believe you are always one supplement away from salvation. Body positivity whispers that you are already home.

True wellness recognizing that mental health directly impacts physical health. Chronic stress, negative self-talk, and body dissatisfaction trigger cortisol production, which can disrupt sleep, digestion, and immune function.

To adopt a body-positive wellness lifestyle, one must first recognize and unlearn the subtle ways "diet culture" infiltrates the health space. Diet culture is a system of beliefs that equates thinness with health, moral virtue, and success.

Work is stressful. Your shoulders are tense. Instead of doom-scrolling or grabbing a diet soda, you step outside for 10 minutes. The sun hits your skin. You stretch your neck. This is stress management.
