Qdb-2a Manual Pdf
Identify if your ignition coil is "coil type" or "module type" using a multimeter (coil type usually measures ~1Ω) as they require different wiring.
| Symptom | Possible Cause & Solution | | :--- | :--- | | | * Power supply is insufficient (current too low). Try a car battery or a 5A+ supply. | | Ignition coil doesn't fire | * Incorrect component type selected. Confirm whether you have a coil-type or module-type coil. * Incorrect wiring. Double-check pin connections against the manual. | | Stepper motor doesn't move | * Coil groups are misidentified. Use a multimeter to find the A and B coil pairs and connect them correctly to the AA and BB terminals. | | Solenoid valve doesn't click | * Frequency is too low or too high. Try a range of 50-100Hz for most valves. | | Device shuts off under load | * Overcurrent protection activated. The device is drawing more than its rated 3A from the power output or coil drive. | qdb-2a manual pdf
: For stepper motor testing, do not exceed 12V to prevent motor burnout. Identify if your ignition coil is "coil type"
Always verify the operating voltage of the component under test before connecting the QDB-2A. Testing Ignition Coils (2-Wire and 3-Wire) | | Ignition coil doesn't fire | *
Test both module-type and coil-type ignition coils (12V-24V).
