If your front headphone port isn't working, try plugging your speakers directly into the green port on the rear motherboard I/O panel. If the rear works but the front doesn't, check that the HD Audio cable inside your PC case is firmly plugged into the motherboard's front-panel audio header (FP_AUDIO).
