Bonni | Gee Helping Hand Better
Founded by Linda Blair, Bonnie's Helping Hands began in a very grassroots manner. Blair started by distributing food from her own garage, using groceries from her pantry and purchasing additional supplies to give to neighbors she knew were in need. The organization is named in memory of a woman named Bonnie, who was known for her dedication to taking care of people in the community.
Here’s a focused feature on initiative, highlighting how it could be strengthened or better positioned for impact.
True help builds independence. Bonnie’s methods focus on giving tools, skills, and confidence — not just temporary fixes.
Financial contributions directly fund community programs.

The center was the heart of the block. It was where kids went after school, where the seniors played bridge, and where the neighborhood held its potlucks. But the roof was leaking, the boiler had given up the ghost, and the city declared it structurally unsound. A developer was already circling, planning to turn it into a parking garage.
