Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani (1314–1384) was a Persian Sufi scholar of the Kubrawiya order, a traveler, and a highly influential figure in the history of Kashmir, where he is affectionately known as Shah-e-Hamadan. Written during a period of geopolitical fragmentation in the Islamic world, the Zakhirat-ul-Muluk was intended as a guidebook for rulers.
